Fluchtatlas – published Book
In contrast to a conventional atlas the Fluchtatlas does not represent freedom, but the unfree human beings who are forced to leave their homes. Through the chapters „Heimat“ (Home), „Flucht“ (Escape) and „Schutz“ (Protection), the reader is taken along the refugees’ almost endless journey to freedom. The project uses the neutral language of an atlas to describe the complex political problems, without neglecting the human element.
The Projekt originated during my studies in collaboration with Lilli Scheuerlein and Yvonne Moser and is based on interviews with refugees and comprehensive research. The book won several prices, exhibitions and talks were organized and it was later published by Büchergilde Gutenberg.
